Love is in the air. But not for poor, old Charlie Brown.

Audiences will soon gather around their television sets to watch everybody’s favorite blockhead ring in another empty-handed Valentine’s Day during “A Charlie Brown Valentine.”

The animated holiday special, which premiered on ABC in February 2002, will air on the network Friday, Feb. 12, at 8:30 p.m. EST. So make sure you mark your calendar to catch Chuck fall head over heels for the enigmatic little red-haired girl, again.

In the special based on Charles M. Schulz’s “Peanuts” comic strip, viewers will witness the timid romantic as he musters up the courage to ask his red-haired crush to the school’s Valentine’s Day dance. But, of course, Charlie Brown’s plans take a dramatic turn when he dials the wrong number: Peppermint Patty’s!

“Peanuts” fans can expect double the romance the same day as the heart-fluttering 1975 classic “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” will be shown on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.

In this Phil Roman-directed special, Charlie Brown won’t be the only character looking for love on Valentine’s Day. The story will follow Linus as he strives to get his teacher’s attention by giving her a box of chocolates for the holiday. But things go awry when Sally believes the romantic gesture is aimed at her. Meanwhile, Charlie Brown will spend the sweet installment vying for a Valentine’s Day card from his classmates, but the bald-headed character gets something very unexpected instead.

“Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” and “A Charlie Brown Valentine” will air back-to-back on ABC Friday, Feb. 12, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
