The claws are coming out in the upcoming episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.” According to a recent sneak-peek video, it’ll be mom vs. mom as Callie and Arizona go head-to-head over their daughter’s future in episode 20, titled “Trigger Happy,” of the hit ABC installment.

After Penny (Samantha Sloyan) was awarded the Preminger Grant in episode 17 — an award that would require her to move across the country — Callie (Sara Ramirez) made the bold decision to follow her girlfriend to New York … in addition to bringing her daughter Sofia (Eva Ariel Binder) along for the journey.

In fact, when Callie and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) met at a neutral location to discuss Sofia’s future, Callie revealed that she already picked out an apartment with a room for their daughter that’s located next to “some really great schools.” But Arizona is baffled as to why her ex is looking at educational, east coast broachers since Sofia is staying with her in Seattle.

“I need to take a big step backwards,” Arizona interjects as Callie lays out the brochures on a café table. “Somewhere, sometime, you heard me say yes to this. You heard me say, ‘Yes, please, Callie, take my daughter across the country’ but I never said that.”

Arizona adds that she doesn’t want to hold Callie back from moving on with her life. “Go. Be happy. Have your Penny,” she tells her. “You’re just not taking my daughter with you.”

Arizona’s choice of words begins to make Callie uncomfortable. “Will you please stop saying your daughter?” she says, teasing that fans can expect a big biological vs. adoptive mom battle to occur between Sofia’s parents. But Arizona is prepared to go to war with Callie over the custody of their kid, which she proved when she paid a visit to April’s (Sarah Drew) lawyer.
