Talk show host Kelly Ripa made a shocking admission to Entertainment Tonight reporters during an event in New York this week, admitting to no longer speaking to her previous "Live! With Regis & Kelly" co-star, Regis Philbin.

"I haven't see him, no," said Ripa who worked alongside the 81-year-old entertainer for over a decade, replacing his previous co-star Kathie Lee Gifford in 2001.

While the duo no longer speak, Ripa, 42, did compliment the former host calling him an incredible storyteller and jokingly comparing him to her current co-host, retired NFL defensive end, Michael Strahan, 41.

"They're both fiercely competitive and they're both incredible football players," said Ripa reported UPI.com.

Philbin reportedly left the ABC program in 2011 after an alleged salary dispute with the show's producers.

Ripa and her co-host of seven months, Strahan, were named one of the 35 most powerful people in media by The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday.

Despite her longtime professional run with Philbin, Ripa admitted to being excited over the prospect of working with retired NFL defensive end Strahan.

"I was very emotional," said Ripa. "Michael is one of these men that could have chemistry with a doorknob, a chicken sandwich or a flashlight," she said.

After months of endless auditions for the co-host position, Strahan beat out 54 other prospects for Philbin's job.

"Even though I knew I had the job, it was surreal to see my name up there with Kelly's," said Strahan.

Other NY-based talk show hosts were also awarded with the media honor including Ripa's occasional guest co-host, Anderson Cooper and the "Good Morning America" team, James Goldston, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos.
