While Wednesday's widely covered Apple event has seemingly been centered on the company's brand new iPhone 5, the event did actually play host to a slew of other product unveilings.

One of those product unveiling's was the reinvented iPod Nano. The seventh-generation model bears almost no resemblance to its iPod shuffle-sized predecessor. The 5.4 mm thick Nano boasts a large, widescreen, touchscreen display and tiny home button that are comparative to a tinier version of the iPod touch.

38 percent thinner than the previous nano, the device features a 2.5-inch multitouch display where you can view music graphics as well as photos and even videos.

The iPod nano now has built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming, as well as a new Lightning dock connector. The device also has built-in fitness and pedometer functions, so no extra accessories are needed for Nike+.

Consumers will be happy to know that The iPod nano's battery offers up to 30 hours of music playback, which is the best of any nano so far.

Available in silver, black, purple, green, blue, yellow, and red, the 16GB iPod Nano will go for $149. Sale of the product will begin sometime in October.
