HBO's gangster drama, "Boardwalk Empire," is returning on Sunday, Sept. 16. To celebrate it's impending premiere date, a new teaser trailer has been leaked. Just over a minute long, the short video gives "Boardwalk Empire" fans a warning of what's to come.

The trailer has viewers relive Nucky (Steve Buscemi), brutally killing his former right-hand guy, Jimmy (Michael Pitt). While it shocked viewers during the season two finale, watching Nucky's cold face can send shivers down your spine.

The rehash of Jimmy's death goes a little more into detail. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the HBO series will jump ahead 16 months in season three. This small time detail explains why Nucky I wearing a wedding ring in the video - a wedding ring that slips right off of his finger and drops to the ground. Could his new marriage already be in trouble?

The "Boardwalk Empire" trailer ends with the tagline, "You can't be half a gangster." Judging by the ruthless clip, I'd say that season three will find Nucky going full "gangster."

Bobby Cannavale of "Nurse Jackie" will be joining this season as Gyp Rosetti, a new gangster challenge for Nucky. Stephen Root will also be a recurring guest as Gaston Means, a former murder suspect working for the Department of Justice.

Season three of "Boardwalk Empire" premieres on HBO on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m.
