Andy may have flown to Florida to win back Erin, but a new hire may also be vying for her heart. Jake Lacy of "Better With You" has been cast as new hire Pete, a potential love interest for Erin.

Dunder Mifflin may be losing some staff members with season nine, but the paper company has to move on and re-staff- and they're doing so with Jake Lacy.

While B.J. Novak's Ryan, Mindy Kaling's Kelly and James Spader's Robert California will be bidding adieu to the Scranton, Pennsylvania office, Entertainment Weekly reports that Lacy will immediately be bringing the laughs.

In a rough-draft scene, EW explains that Pete will have a comical encounter with a cute barista.

"Not only am I the new guy who has to do the coffee runs," Pete tells the girl, "But it's a paper company, so pretty much a non-stop adrenaline rush."

Lacy won't be the only new face in the office. TVLine reports that "Greek's" Clark Duke has signed on as a series regular working at Dunder Mifflin.

How exactly these new characters will transition into their full-time position on "The Office" is unknown, but we do know that our old favorites on the show won't just fall off the face of the Earth.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kaling, who will be starring in her own show on Fox called "The Mindy Project," will return in a handful of episodes to make Kelly's exit a stylish and hysterical one.

Kaling's on-screen beau, Ryan, will only have a recurring role as B.J. Novak continues to write and direct episodes of "The Office" while helping out Kaling as an executive producer on "The Mindy Project."

Office fans may miss the on and off office romance of Kelly and Ryan, but John Krasinksi and Jenna Fisher will still keep the office love alive as Jim and Pam in season nine.
