Cue the white doves, the rice, and the tin cans tied to the bumper. Couples around the country are lining up to get married on 11/12/13.

Whether chosen because it’s a date that's easy to remember or to take advantage of a calendric phenomenon that will be one of the last iconic dates of the century, 11/12/13 has led to a nearly eight-fold increase in the number of weddings planned on this day vs. 11/12 of last year, according to David’s Bridal estimates.

"Iconic dates have become a trend in the United States, reaching new heights when over 65,000 couples tied the knot on 07/07/07," Brian Beitler, chief marketing officer for David's Bridal, said in a statement. "11/12/13 is a sequential pattern, and we have learned that couples love dates that have patterns.”

The next consecutive date that will take place this century will occur next year, 12/13/14, and it falls on a Saturday – one of the most popular days of the week for weddings. “So we predict this date could reach record-breaking numbers," Beitler adds.

According to a survey conducted by the bridal chain, 40 percent of brides said they would consider planning their special day on a consecutively numbered date like 11/12/13 or 12/13/14. An estimated 2,265 couples will walk down the aisle on Tuesday compared to the 371 weddings that took place on the second Tuesday in November last year.

Kat Keane, a wedding planner in Los Angeles, says 11/12/13 has a broad appeal for both couples and venues alike.

"[Couples] want to go throughout their marriage and lives saying they got married on 11/12/13. They think it's good luck or numerically attractive," she told the Los Angeles Times. "You'll get venues that want to capitalize on [these popular dates], so they'll double or triple their rates. They know there's going to be a couple who will want it and pay for it."

Iconic dates have broken records in the past. On 7/7/07, 4,333 couples wed in Las Vegas, compared with just 145 on an average day. On 10/10/10 about 3,090 couples got married, and 3,342 wed on 11/11/11.

Tamika Jones, 31, and fiancé Dexter Bryant, 44, will get married on 11/12/13 on the Caribbean island of St. Thomas, the New York Daily News reports.

“We like the number 13. We met on Feb. 13 and got engaged July 13,” Jones said. “I also figured that if we got married on such a cool date, he’d never, ever forget our anniversary.”
