The one thing which is common in all the episodes of the MTV reality show 16 & Pregnant is the reliance on parents. And Tuesday's episode of 16 & Pregnant, which featured Jordan Howard, was not different.

However, the episode in the fourth season of 16 & Pregnant was a bit different with the mother of the pregnant Pennsylvania teen making things worse for her daughter. The episode featuring Howard showed something which MTV hasn't touched on much in the past.

Howard is an African American teenage girl from Millersville, Pennsylvania, and her boyfriend Tyler Zeplin, is Caucasian. On May 31, 2011, Howard gave birth to Tyler's son with the help of an epidural.

The show makes Zeplin's race appear to be an issue since he is white. But Howard made it clear that her mother, Kelly, was not racist and she was misrepresented by tweeting, My mom is white and father is black. She is not prejudice. Biracial is my whole life. Accept it.

She tweeted: My mom is not racist. SHE IS MIXED.

According to Starcasm, Howard and Zeplin, who are currently engaged, had some custody battle and a protection from abuse hearing soon after the baby was born. However, everything seems to be sought out between them and they are living happily now. But Kelly does not like Tyler and will not allow him to enter the house because of which Howard is living with Zeplin.

In the sneak preview, Kelly explains her daughter why Zeplin is not good for her.

I really love Tyler and he is here to stay, Howard told her mother.

The series 16 & Pregnant is produced by Morgan J. Freeman and Dia Sokol Savage. The reality show focuses on how pregnant high school girls deal with teenage pregnancy and complications surrounding it.

The reality show features a different teenage girl with each different episode. It is basically produced in documentary format with an animation on notebook page which shows the highlights of each if the episode.
