Two Minneapolis police officers were shot Friday afternoon in the southern part of the city.

The conditions of the two cops who were shot are unknown, but Minnesota Public Radio reported that one officer appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.

The officers were shot near West 27th Street and Bryant Avenue South, in the southern portion of the city.

Both Minneapolis cops were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

A neighbor told MPR that she heard shots coming from a home in the area.

The homeowner was not in the house at the time of the shooting but noticed that his back door window was smashed, the radio station reported.
