Four people, including the shooter, are dead after a man fired shots from a rifle at three people before shooting and killing himself on Monday night, media reports said.

The shooting occurred shortly after midnight at a three-story building in the Williamsburg neighborhood of the New York borough, Associated Press reported.

The victims, who were all male, were found on the second and third floors of the house, AP reported citing police, adding that the suspect and the victims knew each other. The shooter was reportedly found dead on the roof of the house.

The AP report added that one person who was wounded on the arm was hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition.

NBC New York reported, citing the New York Police Department, that the shooting may have stemmed from a music-related dispute. According to the report, the location of the incident was an apartment building on Maujer Street in East Williamsburg, near Morgan Avenue and Grand Street.
