Amy Schumer made a statement on Sunday, Instagramming a shot of her kissing Chris Fischer at Ellen DeGeneres’ birthday party. The two were previously only rumored to be dating, but now she’s made it Instagram official.

Speculation around the actress and comedian’s new relationship started swirling after she was spotted having dinner with Fischer in New York City at the start of November. The duo were spotted together quite a few times since then, but this Instagram photo is the first time Schumer’s confirmed the romance.

Now that they’re Instagram official, here are five things to know about Schumer’s new love, Fischer.

1. He’s from Martha’s Vineyard.

His grandfather bought a five-acre piece of land in Chilmark, Massachusetts, which they named the Beetlebung Farm, in the 1950s and Fischer’s family has run it ever since. He grew up around fresh produce and food and it stayed with him.

2. He’s a chef.

While Fischer didn’t live on the farm growing up, he was there often enough that he learned how to grow everything on the land, how to properly harvest it all and what do with the food once it was ready. From many family meals together on the property, Fischer picked up cooking tips and tricks and turned it into a career. After spending time learning his craft, he worked as a chef in restaurants near his farm in Martha’s Vineyard, as well as in California, New York and overseas.

3. He’s a cookbook author.

After spending so much time on the family farm, Fischer decided to use everything he was taught to become not only a chef, but also a cookbook author. He released “The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha’s Vineyard” in 2015 and it contains both recipes as well as personal stories. It went on to win the James Beard Award for American Cooking.

4. He worked with an ex-girlfriend.

Before there was Schumer, there was an old girlfriend who Fischer spoke with Esquire about in 2013. When the outlet was profiling him about his farming and cooking lifestyle, he opened up about a woman he’d been dating for “a couple of years” and worked with at the Beetlebung Farm. It’s unclear when the two broke up.

5. He’s a part-time cooking instructor.

Fischer’s a seminar teacher at Boston University’s Metropolitan College Food & Wine Program, where he shows off some of his own recipes and cooking tips. The program also includes tastings and a glimpse into his career.
