“Fifty Shades of Grey” just got an important new cast member. Eloise Mumford will play Anastasia Steele’s best friend, Kate Kavanaugh, in the film adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling erotic novel, which will be produced by Universal Pictures and Focus Features, Entertainment Weekly wrote on Friday.

The 27-year-old doesn’t have the most impressive résumé, but according to reports, casting big name actors for the film, which is rumored to be rated NC-17 for its Valentine’s Day 2015 release date, wasn't the intention of its producers.

Mumford, who made her television debut in 2010 when she appeared on “Lone Star,” appeared in the indie film “Drones” and on eight episodes of the ABC show “The River.”

Since the blonde starlet pretty much fits the description of Kavanaugh, many “Fifty Shades” fans who have have been critical over the casting of the movie so far will be probably be satisfied. It’s been rumored that because numerous people were upset when Charlie Humman was cast as Christian Grey, the British actor got cold feet and left the film.

Mumford is set to star alongside Dakota Johnson, who will play Anastasia Steele, and Jamie Dornan, newly cast to play Christian Grey. Production of the movie is supposed to begin in Vancouver this December; filming was pushed ahead a few months after Hunnam dropped out of the movie due to what's been called “scheduling conflicts” just weeks before filming was originally set to start. The original Aug. 1, 2014, release date was also changed.
