70-Year-Old Virgin Pam Shaw Is Ready For A Husband

Shaw is a wild cabaret singer who goes by the stage name The sexational Pam, but Shaw doesn't believe in sex before marriage and her busy work schedule has kept her from finding the ideal man to marry.

Now's the time, I'm ready to take the plunge for the right bloke (guy), she told The Sun in an interview.

My standards are still very high, though. I'm hoping to bag a tall, dark and handsome millionaire, she added.

Shaw, who dances in sexy costumes, says she is not too old for anything and is prepared to give marriage a go, should she find the right man.

I may be 70, but I'm young at heart. People can't believe it when I tell them my age. I think I look great, maybe because I've never been married or had kids. I'm fun and have bundles of energy, she told The Sun.

Shaw explained that her provocative costumes and dance moves on stage made men think she would be easy, but she says she never gave in to the presumption and pressure.

I've never really been intimate with a man, just a bit of kissing. I had a sexy stage name and dressed sexy but that was all for my career, she told The Sun.

There has never been time for me to get a man. I worked so much that sometimes I'd only have an hour's sleep each night. I wouldn't entertain the idea of sex outside marriage, and marriage meant giving up on my dreams, she added.

In her prime time, the singer performed and shared a dressing room with Tom Jones, and despite thinking he was good-looking, she never tried anything on.

The only man I thought I could go to bed with was a guy who came to watch me every night when I sang in Malta. But I wasn't prepared to settle down - so it wasn't to be, she said.

Shaw spent most of her life living with her mother until she died aged 97.
