A$AP Rocky Attacked During BET Awards Party With Kendrick Lamar

A$AP Rocky’s performance during a BET Awards party ended in a commotion.

On Sunday, Rocky was attacked while peforming at a party at 1 OAK in Los Angeles before the 2017 BET Awards, TMZ reported. According to eyewitnesses, Rocky gave Kendrick Lamar, who turned 30 on June 17 and also performed at the bash, a birthday shoutout, when a man jumped on him. Rocky got mixed up in an altercation as security rushed to break things up.

Authorities confirmed that they responded to an incident at 1 OAK at around 2 a.m. after they got a complaint from a club-goer. However, when the cops showed up, the guy was already gone. The security clarified that the fight was actually only a verbal exchange.

Some sources revealed that Rocky had not been the target at all during the scuffle. Insiders revealed that a fight erupted at a table near the main stage, and Rocky was exiting it when the commotion broke. After the incident, no arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

Rocky’s attack was reportedly the second altercation to happen over the weekend. On Friday, Safaree Samuels was allegedly attacked by Meek Mill’s crew. The Stuntgang boss shared a video of the said encounter on Instagram and expressed his anger towards Mill.

In the clip, Samuels said he was not hurt during the attack as he dusted off his shirt with his hand. “I’m still clean and I still got all my [things] on…You move like a [expletive]. You act like you the hardest on this planet. You are not hard. You roll 20-deep everywhere because you’re scared to death,” he said.

Samuels then challenged Mills to a fight. “Meet me anywhere, one-on-one, while you’re out here this weekend being scared ’cause you’re still running,” he said. “Let me know what’s up.”

Samuels and Mill were friends before the former broke up with Nicki Minaj. Samuels believed that Mill was a big part of the split. Shortly after Minaj and Samuel broke up, Mill dated the “Anaconda” singer.

Minaj admitted that she fell for Mill while he was still in jail. “When he went to jail I was left in a house by myself and it was just a tough time for me and it happened to be a tough time for him as well,” the “Bang Bang” singer said, Entertainment Tonight reported. “So at that time I was available. So I reached out to him letting him know…, It's so funny that the day he went to jail, he was on my mind the day before.”

In January of this year, Minaj announced on Twitter that she is single. The rapper dropped Mill to focus on her work.
