Aaron Rodgers opened up about his split with Olivia Munn.

Rodgers who had been dating Munn for years has finally broken his silence about their split. He shared their struggles and what made them decide to call it quits.

"When you are living out a relationship in the public eye, it's definitely ... it's difficult," he told ESPN. "It has some extra constraints, because you have other opinions about your relationship, how it affects your work and, you know, just some inappropriate connections."

The interviewer prompted the Green Bay Packers player to say more. He asked the athlete if he was referring to his fans who had been questioning Munn's influence in his performance in the field. Rodgers nodded while adding, "They're such misogynists, right?"

Aside from Rodgers' confession, there were rumors that his family issue was another factor that contributed to his split from "The Predator" actress. A source told Us Weekly that "Olivia doesn't get along with his family. They think she's controlling."

Reports have it that Rodgers has stopped talking to his family shortly after he started dating the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star in 2014. However, his family declined to discuss it. "Airing public laundry is not what I would have chosen," Rodgers' dad, Ed, told The New York Times. When he was asked about their relationship as father and son after three years, the Rodgers patriarch just said, "It's hard to tell sometimes."

When asked about the family feud, Rodgers did not explain further noting that he is not the only one with family issues. For him, it "needs to be handled the right way."

Rodgers did not air his side as he believed there are things that should be kept private. "I think there should be a separation between your public life and your personal life," he told ESPN. "I've just always felt like there should be a time when you don't have to be on."

In related news, shortly after their split, a source said that Munn was devastated. She was reportedly hoping that thing would work out and that they could get back together.

In August, Rodgers was spotted with Marie Margolious. The two enjoyed a romantic dinner date at The East Pole. But another source claimed that Munn no longer cares about her ex dating someone new.
