Actor David Carradine, who starred in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill movies and in the TV series "Kung Fu, was found dead, hanging from a rope in the closet of a hotel in Bangkok on Thursday in a suspected suicide Thai police said, according to Thai newspaper The Nation.

The 72-year old actor was found "half-naked,' according to a hotel maid who entered his suite at 10 am. Police said there were no signs that he had been assaulted, according to the report.

The actor was visiting Thailand to shoot the movie Stretch, according to Lori Binder, a representative of the actor's talent manager, Reuters reported.

No further details of his death were described by police. His body was sent to the hospital for an autopsy.
