Actress Mena Suvari Files for Divorce [PHOTOS]

Actress Mena Suvari has filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court after just 18 months of marriage to concert promoter Simone Sestito.

Suvari and Sestito met at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007 and were engaged almost a year later. They married in June 2010, in Santo Stefano degli Abissini, Italy.

The 32-year-old actress cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and logged the official date of separation as last Nov. 1. The star will also change her legal name from Mena Suvari-Sestito back to Mena Suvari.

She was first married to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann. They divorced in 2005.

She had a major role in 1999 Oscar-winning film American Beauty, which led to a BAFTA Award nomination. The actress will next appear in American Reunion, the fourth installment in the American Pie franchise, which is slated for release in April.
