Adele recently treated the Grenfell Tower fire kid survivors to a private screening of “Despicable Me 3.” This is the latest good deed the “Hello” hitmaker has done for the victims of the June 14 incident that killed 80 people.

On Saturday, a source revealed to U.K. publication The Sun that Adele organized an event for the young survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire last Thursday. Apparently, the superstar prepared the private viewing at Whiteley’s cinema in Queensway, London. Family members thanked Adele for her generosity by posting about it on social media. Many others who have stumbled upon the posts praised Adele as well.

“Adele sees her work in the community as a full-time priority now her touring days are over for the foreseeable future,” a source said. “While she’s working hard behind the scenes to raise cash, she wanted to treat residents to a night of fun and help take their minds off what happened and organized a private viewing of the brand new ‘Despicable Me 3’ movie.”

Ever since the harrowing blaze, Adele has been giving her all in helping the survivors and rescue workers. In fact, Adele asked the attendees of her Wembley Stadium concerts to donate to her Grenfell Tower fund earlier this summer, according to People.

“It’s been two weeks since the fire and still the people who were affected by it are homeless,” she said at the time. “I promise that the money we raise together will go directly to the people who are living in that block.”

On June 19, the Grammy-winning singer paid a visit to the London Fire Brigade to personally thank the rescue workers and firefighters who helped the survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire, New Zealand publication Stuff first reported.

Meanwhile, a number of the survivors are still being treated for the injuries they obtained from the fire that ripped the 24-story building last month. While the media has been reporting that 80 people were killed because of the blaze, authorities said that the final death toll will not be released until 2018.

In related news, “Despicable Me” has been announced as the highest-grossing animated franchise of all time after the films grossed $3.528 billion worldwide in total, as per Variety.
