Adobe Systems Inc. has released Flash Catalyst and Adobe Flash Builder 4 a new series of tools for building rich Internet applications (RIAs) in Flash designed for developers and designers.

The new Flash Catalyst tool will simplify the workflow for creating RIAs giving chance for designers to create interactive experiences from artwork done in Photoshop or Illustrator.

The new beta release of Adobe Flash Builder 4 formerly called Adobe Flex Builder will help developers to create data-centric applications in a fast paced using the drag-and-drop functionality that allows them to create UI components and integrate data from databases and Web Services

“The new Adobe Flash Platform tools help solve this challenge by reducing time to market for generating compelling applications and content. Using Adobe Flash Builder and Flash Catalyst,” said David Wadhwani, general manager and vice president of the Platform Business Unit at Adobe.

Additionally, Adobe also announced the release of the open source Flex framework. The new release framework provides a common foundation for both developers and designers to create compelling user experiences that run on the Adobe Flash Platform. It enables developers to import functional UI created by designers using Adobe Flash Catalyst and completing the application logic while preserving the design and layout of the user experience which facilitates productivity and consistency.

Developers and designers can now work together more productively to create rich experiences that employees, customers and partners expect, Wadhwani added.
