It looks like Miranda Rae Mayo has landed herself yet another major role. The young actress, who currently plays Talia on ABC Family's “Pretty Little Liars,” is slated to star in Season 2 of the hot new Showtime drama, “The Affair.”

According to E! News, Mayo will be playing Luisa, the new love interest of star Joshua Jackson (Cole). Mayo’s character immigrated to the United States illegally as a child. Now she is forced to work hard to pay her way through school. Though it is not clear how serious things will get between Mayo and Jackson’s characters, E! reports that she will appear in a minimum of five episodes.

Also joining the cast of the show for its second season are Joanna Gleason and Richard Schiff. According to Variety, Gleason will play Yvonne, the editor-in-chief of a well-known publisher. Her character will have ties to Dominic West’s (Noah) though it remains unclear how. Her role will be reoccurring. Richard Schiff, on the other hand, will be taking on the role of attorney Jon Gottlief. He will represent John Doman (Bruce) throughout the Season.

As was previously reported, Season 2 of “The Affair” will premiere in October 2015. According to the show’s creator, Sarah Treem, fans will finally get the answers to many of the questions they were left with after the freshman season’s cliff hanger ending, including whether or not Noah is guilty. She also promised that the show’s sophomore season would “pick up quickly,” as it is now following four separate stories. The series will include flashbacks which she says will help piece everything together.
