Marvel is certainly keeping actress Hayley Atwell busy. Atwell was recently announced as a guest star on “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” but she is also getting ready for her own show, “Marvel’s Agent Carter.” Atwell will continue playing her “Captain America” character Peggy Carter in the historical drama, and the show should start filming soon. It's slated for a midseason premiere on ABC. Atwell recently shared plenty of behind-the-scenes pictures on Twitter that documented her fittings.

One picture Atwell tweeted included a reference photo on the vanity. It looks like her hair stylists are looking to 1940s actress Gene Tierney for inspiration. Tierney was best known for films like “Laura,” “Leave Her To Heaven” and “The Ghost And Mr. Muir,” and she would have been an actress that Peggy Carter was familiar with.

Atwell will be wearing a wig throughout “Marvel’s Agent Carter.” We’re guessing that viewers will see less plastic in the final product. Her hair will likely resemble Tierney’s, which is a similar style to what Atwell wore in “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

Atwell also showed fans some of the inspiration for Peggy’s costumes. “Marvel’s Agent Carter” will start off in 1946 and appears to be embracing plenty of the styles from the era. Expect stockings with seams up the back and girdles underneath Peggy’s dresses. Despite being surrounded by men at work, it looks like Peggy will still be playing up her femininity with her clothing.

“Marvel’s Agent Carter” will run on ABC on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT in the winter after “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” goes on hiatus. Are you excited to see Peggy Carter back in action? Sound off in the comments section below!
