“Marvel’s Agent Carter” Season 2 is almost here, and new footage has finally been released. The trailer for Peggy’s (Hayley Atwell) next adventure first aired during Tuesdays night's “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Similar to last year, Peggy will replace Coulson (Clark Gregg) for much of the winter. However, it looks like the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D. will skip the winter weather.

The promo video shows Captain America’s former flame as she arrives in Los Angeles. It looks like she’ll be there with the SSR since Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) welcomes her to town. Her new assignments might even involve movie sets, but Peggy isn’t trading in her guns for a glamorous Hollywood life. She is still chasing after the bad guys. The video is filled with glimpses of action scenes.

The trailer also hints that Peggy might get a new love interest. When the narrator says “romance,” Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin) is shown being told to stay to put while the spy goes after a villain. The new man is shown in a couple scenes throughout the video.

“You going to punch all of L.A.?” Jason asks Peggy.

“I could do with a new hobby,” she quips.

Jason will be “a quirky yet charismatic scientist who instantly charms Peggy,” according to Marvel. Audiences will have to wait to find out just how much Peggy likes him and if he gets along with the other man in her life, Jarvis (James D’Arcy). Howard Stark’s (Dominic Cooper) butler will tag along on the trip to California as well.

The trailer didn’t seem to highlight the villains Peggy will have to face. She’ll go up against Madame Masque (Wynn Everett) and Joseph Manfredi (Ken Marino) this year. Dottie Underwood (Bridget Reagan), the soviet spy who targeted the SSR last year, will also return.

The promo also reveals the release date for “Agent Carter.” The two-hour second season premiere will air on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
