“Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 will continue to show Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) team on the run from everyone. In the season premiere, the team seemed to get bigger with the addition of Hartley (Lucy Lawless), Idaho (Wilmer Calderon) and Hunter (Nick Blood), but Hartley and Idaho seemed to be dead by the end of the episode. “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” episode 2 will be just as dangerous for Coulson’s remaining team members, according to the latest synopsis.

The team is being attacked by the Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) and the U.S. government as well as Hydra and Crusher (Brian Patrick Wade). Coulson’s plan isn’t going to be the safest idea. Coulson will put his team in harm’s way again, but he thinks that it’s the only way they can finally be safe. There’s no word on what this plan of his involves, but much like the mission to get the 084 in episode 1, safety really isn’t guaranteed.

Also appearing in “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” episode 2 will be a mysterious man called The Doctor (Kyle MacLachlan). No, he isn’t a time lord. He’s Skye’s (Chloe Bennet) father, but she won’t know that yet. His arrival “could destroy one of our core team members,” according to the summary of episode 2. If he doesn’t introduce himself as Skye’s father, Ward (Brett Dalton) might. In the Season 2 premiere Skye interrupted Ward before he could tell her about her father.

Raina (Ruth Negga) is scheduled to appear in episode 2 as well. Her return will likely be connected to The Doctor’s story line. Raina was the one who told him that they found Skye at the end of Season 1.

Simon Kassianides will debut as the mysterious Sunil Bakshi in episode 2, too. However, details are being kept under wraps about his character -- but you can read theories on Bakshi HERE.
