“Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2, episode 3 will feature some familiar faces, but this might not be a friendly reunion. Though the team has been adding new members, they’ll discover that not everyone they want on the team has S.H.I.E.L.D. allegiance, according to the synopsis. Hydra is also recruiting and they’re targeting the same people. It might be a painfully familiar situation for Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) team. The synopsis for episode 3, “Making Friends And Influencing People,” revealed some scandalous spoilers.

Donnie Gill (Dylan Minnette) is on the loose. The team put him into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody last year, but plenty of inmates escaped the Fridge at the end of last season. Donnie has the ability to freeze objects. In “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 1, he was easily influenced by evil mastermind Ian Quinn (David Conrad), so he could decide that Hydra is an organization he should work for. S.H.I.E.L.D. will have to get to him first, but they’ll have to fight Hydra agents for him -- which includes Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge).

“Simmons life hangs in the balance,” according to the episode 3 synopsis. In the season premiere, it was revealed that Simmons was no longer with the team. Skye claimed that she abandoned the team in episode 2. She seemed really hurt by Simmons departure, and that isn't without good reason. Simmons appears to be with Hydra now, but life with the bad guys is going to be quite dangerous for her.

It isn’t clear if Simmons will see all of her old team. They would likely keep Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and his hallucination of Simmons away from the real Simmons. The trailer makes it look like the biochemist will at least run into her former boss Coulson, and it appears that she is ready to shoot him.

“Did you think I wouldn’t find out?” Coulson asks.
