“Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2, episode 8 is taking audiences back in time. As previously reported, Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) will make another appearance before “Marvel’s Agent Carter” premieres in January. A sneak peek video shows Agent Carter’s interrogation of Whitehall (Reed Diamond) back in the 1940s, but the episode won’t stay in the past. Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team are be gearing up for a mission in Hawaii in another sneak peek video.

Sneak Peek No. 1

Peggy Carter has Werner Reinhardt -- known to Coulson as Daniel Whitehall -- in an SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) interrogation room with a pen. It’s strategic on her part, and Reinhardt knows that.

“You wanted to see what I would do with [the pen],” he says. “After all, there are so many uses: escape, confession, homicide, suicide.”

Peggy admits that's true, but Reinhardt points out pens are also used for signatures. He wants to make a deal, but Agent Carter isn’t having it. He points out Americans have hired many German scientists, but she doesn’t believe he’ll ever get a deal.

He claims giving him a second chance could “save all of humanity,” but Peggy isn’t about to let someone like Reinhardt get off easy. He has home movies that show just how twisted he is: He kills people, holds people hostage in cages, tortures them and he doesn’t show any remorse. There is a slight smile on his face as Agent Carter recounts a few of his crimes.

He says she can’t understand all the artifacts the SSR recovered from Hydra. Peggy reveals they don’t even know their origin. Reinhardt tells her about a myth about visitors that came down from the sky. He claims he has based his life on the myth.

“These visitors, they didn’t come to save the world,” he explains. “They came to conquer it.”

Sneak Peek No. 2

Back in the present day, the team is gearing up for a mission in Hawaii. Coulson doesn’t want his team to go anywhere guns blazing without a plan. Instead he gives Skye (Chloe Bennet) a watch to have inscribed, and it seems like a minor task until he adds that it could kill her. “If it starts to leak any fluids, drop it, run,” he warns.

He gives Triplett (B.J. Britt) the task of picking up some dry cleaning, handing him a token and telling him where to find the dry cleaner. “Am I good with this in my pocket?” Triplett asks.

“That depends. You ever want kids?” Coulson asks.

Coulson’s orders for Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) aren’t as funny. Fitz wants to work in the field again, but he’ll have to overcome his new disabilities. Coulson wants him to put together a transceiver while in the field in less than six minutes.

“You are aware that I only have one hand that works good,” Fitz says.

“That’s why you’ll practice over and over until you’ve got it down cold,” Coulson explains. “Muscle memory. Don’t think about the action; let the action help you think.”

Coulson sounds confident, but Fitz doesn’t appear to share the feeling.
