Daisy just might stick to a goth look in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4. Actress Chloe Bennet revealed that she had to change her own highlighted locks before returning to film the ABC drama.

Daisy had some blonde highlights for much of Season 3, and Bennet seemed to make her locks even lighter after filming Season 3. She warned fans Wednesday that her hiatus hair was coming to an end. “Dramatic selfie to say adios to my unicorn bronde locks. Daisys coming back y’all!” she wrote on Instagram with a “before” photo.

Several hours later, the 23-year-old posted a picture of her new hair. It isn’t quite as drastic as last year’s transformation (Bennet had to chop her long locks to look more like comic book character Daisy Johnson). However, the dark ‘do matches Daisy’s new style choices, which were shown at the end of Season 3.

The “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” finale flashed forward six months, and showed that Daisy had gone rogue. Newspaper clippings referred to her as “Quake” and revealed that she had been taking down bridges and banks with her powers. She was shown rocking a dark wig and some heavy eyeliner to hide her identity.

The dark look reflects her state of mind. Bennet said that after Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) died in her place, Daisy has changed. “I think it makes her more ruthless being so close to what she thought was her own death,” Bennet told Entertainment Weekly last month. “And then it happening in one of the worst scenarios she could ever think of, which is the person that she loved doing it for her, I think it changes her in a way where she probably will face life with even more ruthlessness. Also, there’s a sense of sadness that was there that I tried to make apparent at the end of the episode.”

“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans will see more angles of Bennet’s new hair and hopefully get some Season 4 scoop at San Diego Comic-Con. The actress is scheduled to appear with the cast at the Marvel Television panel on Friday at 3 p.m. PDT in Ballroom 20.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
