American International Group Chief Executive Robert Benmosche said on Wednesday he does not expect the bailed-out insurer will need more taxpayer funds.

Right now we don't anticipate that, Benmosche said in response to a Congressional Oversight Panel question on whether the insurer will need more taxpayer money. Benmosche added that AIG is seeing more access to private capital markets.

The panel, which helps police U.S. bailout efforts, is holding a hearing into the aid provided to AIG by the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve in 2008 and 2009.
