Airbus confirms A330-200 crashed in Libya
European planemaker Airbus confirmed that a passenger plane that crashed in Libya on Wednesday was an Airbus A330-200 operated by Afriqiyah Airways arriving from Johannesburg.
Airbus will provide full technical assistance to the authorities responsible for the investigation into the accident through the Bureau d'Enquete et d'Analyse (BEA), Airbus said in a statement.
