Airbus has won about $16.9 billion worth of business for a total of 115 aircraft, the European aerospace giant said Thursday at the Farnborough International Air Show.

The commitments comprise tentative commitments for 61 aircraft worth $5.8 billion and firm purchase orders for 54 aircraft worth around $11.1 billion.

Cathay Pacific Airways placed 10 new orders for the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft and converted 16 previously ordered A350-900s to the new larger variant, representing nearly $4.2 billion worth of business, Airbus said. CIT Group placed 10 firm orders for the A330. Airbus also said customers made 86 commitments worth more than $8.4 billion for its A320 jets.
