At least five al-Qaeda militants and three civilians were killed when a Yemeni fighter jet carried out an air strike in the southern city of Zinjibar.

It is the most recent attack by Yemeni security forces in bombarding al-Qaeda hiding places, a local media reported.

More than 20 were killed and dozens of al-Qaeda fighters were injured on Monday’s airstrike.

The Yemeni Defense Ministry on Tuesday confirmed to a local media that Yemeni troops captured 10 al-Qaeda militants and seized a vehicle loaded with arms that belongs to the al-Qaeda group.
