Ashley A.J. Jewell, the former fiancé of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss did not die immediately after the fight outside a strip club in Atlanta. He was walking and talking after the fight and took a ride with a friend to the hospital; according to celebrities' blogging site TMZ.com.

The report dismisses the idea that he had been left for dead after the fight.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office has still to release the cause of death. The office has said that Jewell's body showed signs of a physical altercation but it is evaluating the extent of those injuries and searching if there is another cause of death.

Jewell reportedly started the fight with Frederick Richardson because he felt he wasn't getting enough respect at the club which he co-owned, according to CBS News. Richardson and Jewell didn't like each other and it was a struggle for power over the club, CBS News reported.

Richardson, who was Jewell's co-worker, has been arrested for voluntary manslaughter in the death and is being held without bail.
