This matchup was supposed to be the final tune-up before the SEC title game for Nick Saban and Alabama, but now the Crimson Tide head into Saturday’s matchup with the Auburn Tigers at Bryant-Denny Stadium clinging to their nation title hopes.

The Tide can still defend their national title with a win in today’s Iron Bowl, and a win in the SEC championship game against Georgia, which would set up a showdown with Notre Dame in Miami.

No. 2 ranked Alabama got back on track by crushing Western Carolina 49-0 last week, with Eddie Lacy gaining 99 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries, and quarterback A.J. McCarron broke the school single-season passing touchdown record.

The Tide were up 42-0 at halftime, with McCarron going 6-for-6 for 133 yards and his 21 st touchdown of the season.

The 3-8 Tigers will close out their disappointing season against their biggest rival and possibly their only winning streak of the year, after dropping Alabama A&M 51-7 last week.

Auburn running backs Tre Mason and Onterio McCalebb combined for 285 rushing yards and four touchdowns, with the Tigers scoring on their first five possessions of the game.

Auburn’s defense didn’t allow at touchdown until the third quarter, and forced a safety and an interception to dominate A&M.

The contest begins at 3:30 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast CBS, you can watch their live online stream at CBS Sports here.
