RTTNews - Wednesday, Albania's Institute of Statistics said in a report that the consumer price index or CPI rose 2.3% year-over-year in June, faster than the 2.1% increase in the previous month. A year earlier, consumer prices had grown 4%.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices increased 5.9% annually in June, larger than the 5% growth in May. At the same time, clothing and footwear prices dropped 2.3%, while transport charges were down 4.9%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.6% in June, after falling 0.8% in May.
