Alfonso Ribeiro, best known for playing the role of Carlton Banks in the television series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," tied the knot with his fiancee Angela Unkrich on Saturday.

Ribeiro confirmed the big event via Twitter. "Last night I got married to the most incredible woman in the world," the actor, 41, tweeted Sunday.

Unkrich, 31, chimed in via the microblogging site, adding: "1st morning waking up as Mrs. Ribeiro = Amazing!!! So happy and blessed!"

People reported the couple were wed in California. They became engaged in July.

Riberio was born in the Bronx borough of New York, and he came to fame as a child actor on Broadway before appearing in the TV series “Silver Spoons” and a Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson.

In 1990, Riberio landed his most famous role as Carlton on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Playing this part, Riberio contrasted with Will Smith’s street-smart charm by acting as a naive and sometimes spoiled foil. Riberio would frequently dance in an extremely awkward manner on the show, often to the music of Tom Jones. This later became known as “The Carlton Dance.”

Riberio has one daughter from a previous marriage to Robin Stapler. Stapler and Riberio were married from 2002 to 2006.
