Alicia Vikander’s star just keeps rising. The young actress reportedly will star opposite Matt Damon in the next "Bourne" movie. The Swedish actress will join the fifth installment of the franchise, E! News reported.

Although details of the movie have yet to be released, Paul Greengrass is reportedly returning to direct the film and is co-writing the screenplay with Christopher Rouse. Frank Marshall will again produce the action thriller, alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment.

Damon did not appear in the fourth film, "The Bourne Legacy." Instead, Jeremy Renner starred as a member of the Department of Defense's "black ops" program, Operation Outcome. But for the next installment, Damon will reprise his role, with Julia Stiles set to return as Nicky Parson, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Now that Vikander has been confirmed for "Bourne" movie, the "Ex Machina" actress will bypass Justin Kurzel’s "Assassins Creed" film, opposite Michael Fassbender. Deadline reported that Vikander won’t be able to accommodate both projects because of her hectic schedule. Deadline also mentioned that the actress may skip "The Circle," which reportedly will star Tom Hanks. "The Circle" was one of the hot sellers at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. It is based on a Dave Eggers novel, and written and directed by James Ponsoldt.

Meanwhile, Vikander has several projects all wrapped up and in the pipeline. They include Warner Bros.' "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, and Tom Hooper’s "The Danish Girl" with Eddie Redmayne. She is also set to star in Weinstein Co.’s "Tulip Fever," John Wells’ "Adam Jones" with Bradley Cooper and Jamie Dornan, and Derek Cianfrance’s "The Light Between Oceans," opposite Michael Fassbender.
