Alltel Wireless today announced it will launch parental controls to manage their child's internet usage from mobile phones.
Alltel, with mobile internet provider Bytemobile, will soon reveal Alltel Parental Controls, allowing parents to filter content on their child's mobile phone, blocking inappropriate and offensive websites. The blocks come from a comprehensive database of particularly raunchy websites, including those featuring pornography, violence, and gambling. There are new, vile websites launched all the time, you say? No worries, as RuleSpace has teamed up with Alltel and Bytemobile to remain informed of new, unrated sites. The Controls will be available to all Alltel parents by visiting MyAccount on www.alltel.com.
Technically speaking, Alltel is sitting pretty. Since the stock's 10-day and 20-day moving averages made a bullish cross in late August, shares of AT have muscled more than 6%. The equity has consistently rode its 10-day moving average as support, marking a new all-time high of $71.53 in mid-October. Currently, the shares are flirting with that number, as AT has today hit an intraday high of $71.35.
