Alyssa Milano is showing everyone who the boss is after appearing nearly topless, not to mention flawless, on the cover of Maxim. The “Charmed” star, who is now 40, married and a mother of one, appeared on the magazine to promote her new ABC show, “Mistresses.”

Milano went braless for the shoot, only covering up with an open blue flannel shirt and white boy shirts. The brunette flashes her signature smile as she tilts her head coyly towards the camera.

The 40-year-old beauty shares a son, Milo, 2, with her husband, CAA agent Dave Bugliari, whom she married in 2009.

Even though child stars like Milano, who played Samantha Micelli on “Who’s The Boss” with Tony Danza, often have a bad reputation as reckless adults, she harbors no resentment about growing up in front of cameras. "It wasn't weird, because I didn't know any different," she told Maxim, according to Us Weekly.

"You know, I went through puberty like everyone else; it only got embarrassing when the show would take what was going on with me and write it into the show, like 'Samantha's First Bra.'" It was like, OK, guys, do we really need to do this?" she asks. "But what an awesome time stamp!"

But the “Mistresses” actress acknowledged that other child stars like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes haven’t had a happy ending. "That was an era when TV child actors just didn't work after their show was over," she said about working in the late 1980s. "I think Christina Applegate and I are the only two who maintained some sort of career path past the shows that launched us."

She added: "But I have a great family, and I look at a lot of these kids who struggle in the industry and think they'd have struggled no matter what they did."
