Amarok Resources Inc. OTC:AMOK was trading in the $$s not so long ago and is probably on the way back there after a gold strike in Nevada.

Amarok Resources Inc. OTC:AMOK +5.26% Amarok Resources Inc. announced that core hole AMK10-04, drilled on the Rodeo Creek property located in the northern portion of the prolific Carlin Gold belt in Nevada, was completed to a depth of 3030 ft. During the drilling numerous faults and shear zones were encountered along with many extremely silicified zones from approximately 1700 ft down to the bottom of the hole.

The core is currently being split and will be sent for assaying over the next few days. The hole was temporarily suspended back in June due to drilling difficulties, encountered in an extremely silicified portion of the highly prospective Popovich Formation at a depth of 2800 ft. The Silicified Popovich Formation is one of the main gold bearing structures found along the Carlin Trend.

The objective of AMK10-04 was to test the potential for a deep-seated high-grade auriferous structure believed to be the source of gold mineralization found at shallow depth in the nearby Flower area, where previous shallow drilling encountered numerous gold values, including 20ft grading 4.22 gm/T gold at a depth of 315ft in hole AMK-FZ-3, and then a 14ft intercept grading 2.37gm/T Au in AMK-FZ-4. Historical values have ranged from 5.38 gm/T over 17ft to 29.66 gm/T over 5 ft.

The Rodeo Creek property adjoins Barrick's Storm and Arturo gold discoveries in the Northern portion of the Carlin gold belt which has in excess of 100 million ounces of gold production and inventory. The property lies on strike with the world class Goldstrike and Meikle mines which have gold reserves and production estimated in excess of 50 million ounces.

Amarok Resources is a US based mineral exploration and development Company, focusing on the acquisition and development of Gold and Silver projects which demonstrate high probability for near term production. Amarok is a fully reporting public company trading under the symbol AMOK.
