You can't do that on television...

Two freelance producers for the CBS reality television show The Amazing Race were poisoned after a failed shakedown attempt in Africa, leaving one dead, Fox News reported.

The body of Jeff Rice, one of two freelance facilitating producers for the show, was found in Uganda, a family member told Fox.

There are few details on the case. However, one source said the two men poisoned were being mugged by local thugs. Rice and his companion refused to give in to demands of the muggers.

Facilitators at this level are usually local producers hired by the networks in order to make sure things go smoothly on a cultural level.
