“Teen Mom OG” star Amber Portwood defends getting a mommy makeover. MTV

“Teen Mom OG” star Amber Portwood is no stranger to social media rants, but she deleted her Instagram post from Tuesday after reportedly saying she suffers from borderline personality and bipolar disorders. Fiancé Matt Baier almost had her institutionalized.

“It was to the point where I was going to institutionalize myself,” she said in a now-deleted post from Tuesday. “To the point where Matt was actually going to institutionalize me.”

The severity of her mental illnesses kept her away from daughter Leah. Even though she wasn’t able to see the 8-year-old, Portwood said she always cared for Leah. “I love my daughter to death. You see the relationship we have and that we’ve built,” Portwood, 26, confessed. “There is nothing that could ever break that bond.”

The “Teen Mom OG” star denied not seeing Leah for a month, like her ex-fiancé, Gary Shirley, claimed in Monday’s episode of the hit MTV reality show.

“I want to make it clear that it wasn’t a month, that was an exaggeration,” she said. “In that time I hadn’t seen her, I literally didn’t know what was going on with myself, I was in a deep depression where I didn’t want to get out of bed.”

But that type of depression shouldn’t happen again. The “Never Too Late” author found the right treatment to help with her mental illnesses. “I’ll be on medication the rest of my life just to feel normal,” she said.

Portwood admitted to getting a breast augmentation, but denied getting a tummy tuck in a different Instagram video Monday. The stars showed off her new look in subsequent posts. The rumors about an abdominoplasty swirled after Portwood wrote she had a “mommy makeover.” The procedure typically consists of a breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction.

“Teen Mom OG” airs Monday on MTV at 10 p.m. EST.
