The season 3 premiere of “American Horror Story” is a few weeks away and fans cannot contain their excitement. Between the photos and teaser videos of “Coven” being posted online, some might even say that fans are “dying” to watch the new season of the FX mini-series.

“American Horror Story: Coven” will be bringing back some faces of seasons past, but the witchy anthology will also be introducing some new ones – like Sir Maejor.

Sir Maejor is a newcomer to the entertainment industry, diving into acting and modeling only a year ago. But while many in the field wait years to catch their big break, Sir Maejor seems to have luck on his side. With minor parts in upcoming films “Almanac” (or “Cinema One”), “Let’s Be Cops,” and “Need For Speed,” Sir Maejor got the opportunity this summer to work alongside Frances Conroy in season 3 of “American Horror Story: Coven.”

“To be honest when I got the call I never knew or heard about [‘American Horror Story’],” he told the International Business Times of getting cast. “I didn’t seem too enthusiastic about the call. In fact I was at rehearsals for Atlanta Fashion Week, so I was really sidetracked as well.”

Telling casting that he’d look into it, he revealed that shortly after he got a phone call from Alfonso Gomez-Rejon … the director behind multiple epic “American Horror Story” episodes like “Birth” in season 1 and “Spilt Milk” in season 2.

“When he called me I was thinking it was a joke,” Maejor said of Gomez-Rejon, who directed the premiere episode of “Coven.” Looking up all the Emmy nominations the show has garnered in the past and discovering it to be one of FX’s hit TV series, Maejor joked that he was immediately like, “Hey, when do you need me?”

From that point on it was all a piece of cake for Sir Maejor. Making plans to travel, he flew into New Orleans that Monday.

Although he’s new to the industry, he’s already a pro on keeping tight lipped about any spoilers. Maejor wouldn’t even reveal if his role (the “American Horror Story” IMDB page has him cast as “Albino Guard”) will carry on past the premiere episode. “You gotta wait and watch,” he teased.

Fortunately Sir Maejor was willing to talk about his experience on the New Orleans set.

“I had a great time shooting American horror story. I can tell you it’s a possibility -- it’s a great possibility -- I’ll be back,” the newcomer continued. “I had a great time shooting with Frances Conroy and Taissa Farmiga. They were awesome, taught me a lot about the business … just very pleasant working with everybody. From cast, everyone in production, catering -- Everyone was just nice.”

Excited to watch himself on screen when “American Horror Story: Coven” premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 9, Maejor is also ready to take the next step – more roles on hit shows! Thanks to his latest project, he landed a contract with the Atlanta based J Pervis Talent Agency. Hoping to land a role on “The Vampire Diaries” or “The Walking Dead,” Maejor’s also hoping to get a chance to appear on “True Blood” before the series ends in June 2014.

“I would love to play a zombie or vampire in one of the projects,” he revealed, humbly adding that he’s just very fortunate that he’s in his current position. “I’m just really thrilled to be in the midst of all this because I’m very new, I’m very fresh in the business.”

Besides his enthusiasm and obvious passion for what he’s doing, one of the things that helps him stand out in the entertainment industry is that he was born with albinism. For those unfamiliar with albinism, it’s a defect of melanin production that results in a person having little or no pigment on their skin, hair and eyes.

“I had a hard time accepting who I am … because I am different. I am albino,” he explained. “And to young people that’s not the norm, and so what’s not the norm we fear. I grew up getting teased and in my adult life I really started to value who I am. I knew that I had a value, a contribution to society, to my community.”

“A lot of people don’t know what it is,” he continued of albinism. “Some people think I’m black. Some think I’m white. Some people don’t know what I am. So I try to educate people so that way they have some sort of idea what it is.”

And while groups like the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation (NOAH) don’t approve of albino’s predominantly being depicted as evil in films and television shows (think Silas from “The Da Vinci Code”), Sir Maejor isn’t bothered by it.

“Having albinism I attract a lot of directors, a lot of producers. They like that because I can play the supernatural characters, the fictional characters … I look like a character, which is a good thing” he laughed. “For me, it’s a role. You’re acting.”
