Alexandra Breckenridge (left) has been cast in season three of "American Horror Story." Could she be playing a younger version of Frances Conroy's (right) character again? FX/ American Horror Story

Season three of “American Horror Story” just got a little sexier. Season one vet, Alexandra Breckenridge, has joined “Coven.”

“American Horror Story” co-creator Ryan Murphy broke the news of Breckenridge’s casting on his Twitter account:

For those that are unfamiliar with the red-headed beauty, Alexandra Breckenridge played a young version of Moira O’Hara, the housekeeper in the Harmon family’s “L.A. Murder House.” The older version of Moira was portrayed by Frances Conroy. To women, Moira appeared as an elderly lady with one blind eye … but to men she was a vixen whose maid outfit looked more like a naughty Halloween costume than a uniform.

Breckenridge’s role in “Coven” is currently unknown, but it’s important to point out that the show is looking to cast a younger version of Frances Conroy’s character. Thanks to Spoiler TV, fans know that Conroy will be playing a woman named Ruth. The FX mini-series is looking to cast a “red-haired 20-year-old-version of the character” … which sounds perfect for Alexandra Breckenridge since the actress already did that in season one!

Besides Conroy, Breckenridge will also be joining fellow season one vets Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare and Taissa Farmiga. Newcomers for season three include Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Kathy Bates, Patti LuPone and Angela Bassett.

“American Horror Story” is currently shooting its third season in New Orleans, and “Coven” is set to premiere on FX in October.
