WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

“American Horror Story” is known to keep a tight lid on spoilers, yet an audition tape for a new character in season three, “Coven,” managed to leak online. But while the spoiler gods have giveth us this video, the spoiler gods have also taketh it away. The YouTube video was initially posted by SpoilerTV … and removed shortly after by the uploader.

Fortunately some fans of the FX mini-series were able to watch it before it disappeared. The video showed “Arrow” actor Byron Mann auditioning for the part of recently revealed character Dr. David Zhong.

Two new characters were leaked last week by SpoilerTV.com with claims that the Brad Falchuk, Ryan Murphy lead series was looking for two guest roles for the premiere episode. One of the characters, who is currently nameless, is described as a male college student who’s “a jerk.” The second casting call is for the role that Mann was auditioning for -- David Zhong, “a charming Asian doctor.”

In the video Mann interacts with a woman off-screen. Eventually revealed to be “Maude,” the unseen woman is wealthy, a widow and very demanding. Mann, as Dr. Zhong, shows the woman a video of a project he’s been working on -- Allegra, “the equivalent of a human female in her late 80s.” They inject Allegra with their new serum RM-47, which is supposed to make her youthful.

Maude says that she wants the youth serum immediately, but Dr. Zhong says she needs to wait two years. The demanding woman tells Zhong that her late husband funded his research for RM-47, and that she wants to take it now while she’s in “the prime of her life.”

“What I need is an infusion of vitality,” she tells him. But Zhong insists that it’s impossible.

As ScreenCrush.com points out, audition tapes rarely reveal a “final product,” and the dialogue might not even be related to the actual plot of “American Horror Story: Coven.” However, the show already has a series of actresses signed on that would be perfect for the role of Maude.

“American Horror Story” vets Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy and Sarah Paulson are set to return for season three, and the show is also adding a few female newcomers. Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates are the latest additions to the mini-series.

The potential plot line regarding the youth serum and Dr. David Zhong isn’t the only thing to be accidentally leaked for season three. In late May the International Business Times reported on some suspicious tweets between Paulson and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” star J. August Richards. Richards tweeted that he was excited to work with Paulson again and the “American Horror Story” actress responded that the feeling was mutual. While the pair didn’t say exactly what project they would be working on together, fans immediately speculated the FX mini-series. No statements were made regarding the potential casting of Richards, but the tweets from the two were later deleted.
