Flashback

The flashbacks will continue in episode four – this time to 1961. “American Horror Story” viewers will see a younger (although never-aging) Marie Laveau, who “takes a ghastly revenge” when an African-American teen is lynched.

What Happened To Queenie?

Episode 3 ended with Queenie offering up her virginity to the Minotaur … who didn’t appear equally interested in her. “Fearful Pranks Ensue will find out that Queenie has been “horribly violated and terribly injured.”

Queenie won’t get medical attention from a hospital though. In order to avoid attention (“and the wrath of the Council of Witchcraft”), the young will be tended to at the Academy.

A War Is Brewing

Tension was already high between Fiona and Marie Laveau, and things will only worsen in episode 4. The Supreme blames Marie for Queenie’s injuries and fires back by sending a bloody message. While what exactly that bloody message is remains a mystery, it will be so bad that it will “rattle the decades-long truce between the Salem witches and the Voodoo Queen. And Marie Laveau won’t take it lying down. She’s preparing for a “terrible payback.”

Kyle’s On The Run

Kyle has had a rough few days. After dying and being brought back to life as “Franken-Kyle,” the frat boy was returned to his sexually abusive mother's home … where he proceeded to beat her dead with a trophy. Traumatized from the whole experience, Kyle runs away. Now Zoe “must find him before he can do any more harm.”

Fearful Pranks Ensue

Madame LaLaurie continues to struggle in modern day – this time because it’s Halloween. For LaLaurie, the day means that “fearful pranks ensue if proper offerings are not made.”

Fiona of course doesn’t care, but LaLaurie will find herself “indebted to Queenie.”

The Council Is On To Fiona

Will Fiona’s evil deeds finally catch up to her? The Academy gets a visit from three members of the Council of Witchcraft – Myrtle, Quentin and Pembroke. Unaware of Queenie’s injury or the broken truce with the Voodoo Queen, the Council is instead visiting on “far graver business – business that could be bad news for Fiona.” (Perhaps having to do with the unfortunate death of Madison in episode 3?)

As the synopsis reveals, “Myrtle has had dire suspicions about Fiona for a very, very long time. But both Spalding and Cordelia have secrets that will impact the Council’s investigation.”

And To Top It Off …

If that wasn’t enough drama for one episode, “Fearful Pranks Ensue” will also feature:

-The unveiling of a secret that Hank, Cordelia’s husband, has been hiding.

-A search party by the witches for a “missing friend.”

-The rise of a “terrifying army.”

-A “ghastly tea party” with Spalding.

You can catch episode 4 of “American Horror Story: Coven” when it airs on FX on Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT.
