WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
On Wednesday, a new Supreme will rise on “American Horror Story.” The season 3 finale of the FX miniseries will air on Wednesday, Jan. 29, and while we don’t know who will be replacing Fiona, we do have some juicy photos from episode 13.
As we previously reported, Fiona’s death in episode 12 forced Cordelia to schedule “The Seven Wonders,” a dangerous and life threatening test to determine who the next Supreme of the Coven is. But before the test Myrtle will make one last attempt to unite the divided girls at Miss Robichaux’s Academy … by hosting a final dinner.
Whether the last meal together is successful or not, Cordelia is bent on seeing change in the Coven with the rise of a Supreme who “can lead the way out of an era of strife and chaos, towards repair and rejuvenation.” But before things can get better, the Coven must begin the “Seven Wonders” trials.
The “Seven Wonders” consists of telekinesis, concilium, transmutation, divination, vitalum vitalis, descensum and pyrokinesis, and the next Supreme must be able to perform all the acts. And while Misty Day, Madison, Zoe and Queenie have all seen growth in their powers, each girl will be internally and externally struggling with the trials. Queenie doubts that she’s the next chosen one; Misty is terrified yet excited of the possibility that she could hold so much power; and Madison is bent on beating Zoe (and willing to do so with violence).
By the end of episode 13, a new Supreme will rise … but not before tragedy strikes. The chosen witch will be forced to “begin her reign by performing a heartbreaking task” …. and wrapping up some “unfinished business.”
The final episode of “American Horror Story: Coven” will air on FX on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. EST.
