“American Horror Story” is still casting its web for new characters. The FX miniseries is currently working on its third season, “Coven,” and we’ve got the latest scoop on a new addition to the cast.

With a mix of series newcomers and season one and two vets set to star in season three, fans have been curious as to the lack of confirmed male actors. The only official male signed on for “Coven” is currently “American Horror Story” veteran Evan Peters, but, according to TV Line, that won’t be for too much longer.

“The show is currently casting the role of Hank, the handsome, blue-collar husband of one of the witchy women (given his thirtysomething age, I’m guessing either Lily Rabe or Sarah Paulson),” TV Line teased.

While nothing more is known about Hank, the Twitter account of Sarah Paulson may hint at a possible actor for the role. On May 22, Paulson tweeted, “Hey @JAugustRichards I can’t wait to work with YOU again!!”

Paulson’s tweet was actually a response to “Angel” alum J. August Richard’s tweet on May 21. Richards tweeted, “I can’t wait to work with @MsSarahPaulson again ...!!!” He appeared to be trying to cover up his tracks by replying, “@MsSarahPaulson Sorry, so random. But so REAL!” Paulson replied, “I feel the same way!”

We can’t be sure that Richards is joining the cast of “American Horror Story,” but we do know that the pair previously worked together in a 2010 episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.” The episode, “The Time Warp,” featured Paulson as young Ellis Grey and Richards as young Richard Webber.

Richards is currently tied to the new Joss Whedon TV show, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” If he does join the cast, he will be playing alongside other “American Horror Story” newcomers Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates. Returning cast members include Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Paulson and Rabe.

“American Horror Story: Coven” is set to premiere in October on FX. Do you think Richards is joining the third season? Read the full tweets between Richards and Paulson below:
