“American Horror Story” has done it again. The FX mini-series has released yet another teaser video for season 3, “Coven,” and it will definitely leave viewers with shivers down their spine.

The eighth and latest video for “American Horror Story: Coven” was released on Tuesday and is called “Slither.” Posted on the show’s official YouTube page, the caption teases: “This fall, the kiss of death is coming.”

At 28 seconds long, “Slither” features the same rendition of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson’s “Winter Song” that has been played in “Pins and Needles,” “Stakes,” and “Coffin.” As the song plays, a white snake slithers towards a woman’s face. As it inches closer, the woman opens her mouth … allowing the snake inside in a clearly sexual image. The whole snake enters the woman’s mouth, with the tip of its tail curling up around the corner of her lip before fully disappearing. She slowly wipes the corner of her mouth as a slight smile stretches across her face.

“Slither” follows a series of teaser videos for the highly anticipated third season of “American Horror Story.” But unlike the other videos, “Slither” plays off of the promotional art for “Coven,” which features three women with the same white snake entering their mouths.

The “American Horror Story” YouTube account posted another video a minute after “Slither” with the same title. The second video is only nine seconds and shows a moving image of the “Coven” promotional art.

“American Horror Story: Coven” premieres on FX on Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. EDT. The mini-series will follow Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), a young girl who discovers that she has a “strange genetic affliction tracing back to the dark days of Salem.” Sent off to Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, a school in New Orleans “devoted to safeguarding the few remaining descendants who share this unique bloodline,” Zoe will encounter the Supreme witch, Fiona Goode (Jessica Lange). Fiona, “the most powerful witch of her generation,” has been absent from New Orleans for years, but her return reignites an old rivalry with the “Coven’s deadly enemies, the Voodoo.”
