“American Horror Story” might be getting a “Glee” crossover in Season 4. Christian Today is reporting that actress Lea Michele is rumored to join the FX mini-series for its fourth installment, “Freak Show.”
The 28-year-old’s potential addition to the cast has not been confirmed, but the actress has made her interest in joining “American Horror Story” well known. In March the starlet appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where she revealed that she would love to continue working with “Glee” executive producer Ryan Murphy.
“[I would star in a ‘Glee’ spinoff], unless he wants to put me in ‘American Horror Story,” Michele told the talk show host. “I know what the theme is for next year, and I’m in. So, if he’ll have me … at least, maybe for one episode. Let’s start that campaign.”
Fox’s “Glee,” which Lea Michele has starred on since its 2009 debut, is concluding after its sixth season. The final season will premiere in Spring 2015, which would potentially give the actress time to film a couple of scenes for “American Horror Story: Freak Show.” However she has already filled her “Glee” filming void with another FX series – “Sons of Anarchy.” Michele will guest star in the seventh and final season of “Sons of Anarchy” as Gertie, “an empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma during a difficult time.”
Lea Michele’s addition to “American Horror Story” is simply a rumor, but it wouldn’t be the first time that Ryan Murphy recruited an actor that he previously worked with. In late August it was announced that Matt Bomer would be joining the Season 4 cast of “American Horror Story.” Murphy worked with the “White Collar” heartthrob on HBO’s “The Normal Heart,” a television movie that the “AHS” creator directed. The movie won the 2014 Emmy for Outstanding TV Miniseries or Movie, and Bomer was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie.
