Del (Michael Chiklis, left) and Stanley (Denis O'Hare) might get away with Madam Petit's (Jyoti Amge, not pictured) murder in episode 8 of "American Horror Story: Freak Show." FX

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” fans, beware: Episode 8 is going to be a “bloodbath.” Viewers of the hit FX miniseries will have a week off to celebrate Thanksgiving, but “Freak Show” will return the following week with some gory surprises.

According to the synopsis for episode 8, “Blood Bath,” Ethel (Kathy Bates) will begin to grow suspicious of Elsa (Jessica Lange) after “recent disappearances around camp.” While the episode description doesn’t identify any specific “disappearances,” viewers will remember that Del (Michael Chiklis) delivered on his promise to Stanley (Denis O’Hare) and murdered one of the freak show members. After a failed attack on Amazon Eve (Erika Ervin), Del was able to kill Madam Petit (Jyoti Amge). In the heartbreaking scene from episode 7, Del tricked Ma Petit by gifting her with a new dress. When she went to give him a hug, Del squeezed her until her neck finally snapped.

Of course, Madam Petit isn’t the only person who has “disappeared” from the camp. Jealous of the twins and the attention Stanley gave them, Elsa dropped Bette and Dot (Sarah Paulson) off at Gloria (Francis Conroy) and Dandy’s (Finn Wittrock) house. Elsa had initially told the rest of the freaks that the twins had run off. However, Jimmy (Evan Peters) caught on that Elsa was lying when he tracked the girls down at Gloria and Dandy’s. Elsa dodged a bullet when the twins chose to blackmail her instead of tell the truth, but that may eventually backfire on them. Fans will remember that Ethel overheard Elsa having a conversation with Stanley about “mercy killing” the twins. Ethel chose to stay quiet, but the disappearance of Madam Petit might lead her to rebel against the freak show leader.

Elsa’s shady doings and Stanley’s murderous plans aren’t the only storylines that “American Horror Story” viewers can look forward to in episode 8. The synopsis also teases that Gloria will make “a last-ditch effort to contain Dandy’s bloodlust.” What could that possibly involve?
