FX has released a third trailer from "American Horror Story: Freak Show." The fourth season will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 9 p.m. EDT. FX

“American Horror Story” fans received another look at “Freak Show” this week. A third teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth season of the FX miniseries was released by Entertainment Weekly, giving viewers their first peek inside the red and white tent.

The third video, titled “Spotlight,” clocks in at 10 seconds long. The focus is on two spotlights that are aimed at the walls of the red and white tent. A shadow of an acrobat on a swaying ring shoots across the lights. And while it seems like a normal skit in a circus performance, fans will discover that something is a little … off. One leg of the acrobat is hanging off the ring, a second leg is perched on the bar, and a third leg is arched above the performers back.

A three-legged performer is not the first “freak” that fans of “American Horror Story” have seen through the teaser videos. The first promo video, “Admit One,” featured a clawed and “crusty” hand with long jagged nails. The second promo video, “Lick,” gave viewers a close look at a bearded man with a “split” or “forked” tongue.

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” will premiere on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 10 p.m. EDT. The fourth season will follow a “troupe of curiosities” in 1952 that move to Jupiter, Florida. Their arrival coincides with “the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike.”
